This week’s episode, “The Fight” proved that the boys on HIMYM are lovers, not fighters. And those Canadian girls love the brawling boys! Here’s a refresher from CBS.com:
This was a pretty good episode, but it just can’t compare to “Naked Man”. I do have to say Will Sasso was a great choice as Doug. He really needs to make a return appearance at some point. Robin’s reaction to guys who fight was quite amusing as well. As a Canadian gal myself, I’ve had a few friends like Robin that love a boy that’s not scared to throw a punch or lose a tooth. I stumbled across this really neat website called Seenon.com, which features links to where you can purchase clothing, shoes and accessories that you’ve seen on your favorite TV characters. And what do you know, they have a page dedicated to I admit, I do notice the clothing on the show, especially on Robin and Lily. I remember a dress Robin wore in Season Three that I tried to find (pictured above), and now I’ve found out all I need to know about it, including the designer, and where I can purchase it online! Now you too can dress like the cast of HIMYM! Have you ever purchased anything, an item of clothing, a fantastic pair of shoes, or an adorable necklace because you saw it on a TV character? So much for Not a Father’s Day … it seems that the set of How I Met Your Mother may be one of the most fertile places in La La Land. Both Alyson Hannigan and Cobie Smulders recently announced they are expecting, so series co-creator Craig Thomas offered this public service announcement in a recent TV Guide article:
Which leads us to the question - did the November 10th episode “Not a Father’s Day” set the framework for an Aldrin-Eriksen bundle of joy? It is quite possible that Hannigan’s pregnancy will be written into the show, but my guess is that we probably won’t see a baby Robin Sparkles anytime soon. What are your thoughts? Would you want a baby on How I Met Your Mother? Do you think it would drastically change the dynamics of the show? I’m still undecided. It worked on Friends, but it was more than 4 seasons in, and the quirky circumstances around Ross and Rachel’s baby made for a good storyline. |
