The cast of HIMYM celebrated the arrival of 2009 - with more dough! They were recently rewarded with a salary increase following some lucrative syndication deals, and maintaining their performance in the ratings. According to The Hollywood Reporter, each cast member is now earning between 90k and 120k per episode, retroactive to the beginning of Season 4 - that’s nearly 2 to 3 times what they were making. It also extends their contracts to eight years from the original seven. This is still lower than the salaries of other ensemble comedies, like The Office. Given the economic challenges at this time, it’s good that 20th Century Fox TV decided to recognize HIMYM, and reward one of its most profitable shows. Comments |
